Special use cases and prize from Attijariwafa Bank
Attijariwafa Bank, one of the leading banks in the MEA region, has joined the hackathon as a partner and sponsor. And they're offering the winners an incubation opportunity with their lab to bring to life their hackathon project!
The bank have shared 2 use cases with the hackers:
- Trade Finance: using AI/ML to digitize the trade finance processes, with a particular focus on the process of importing letters of credit (SWIFT MT700)
The challenge here will be to bring together, technology in one hand with OCR and NLP, to digitize documents and process them; and business expertise on the other hand to apply the compliance requirements and the international trade rules, and to be able to raise alerts and screen for any sanctions or exceptions
The benefits are huge, allowing the bank to increase the efficiency of the BO teams, save time and reduce their costs. - Communication: engaging with customers in COVID times have pushed the bank to do more and more digital events. The challenge there is to build a data-driven platform/solution to gather insights from these events (customers/prospects engagement, sentiment, etc.) in order to build targeted campaigns.
Combining banking data, CRM data, and event engagement data, could be a great level to build a powerful user experience, and drive growth
